August 17-25, 2002 -- Coche and back

We really enjoyed our time in Coche with Lisa and Brian. They went to the beach every day. We joined them each afternoon for a little while, after we had completed our chores for the day. One day, we tried to go to the resort in Coche as we had heard there was a toucan there that talked. Unfortunately, the resort is all inclusive and while the cost for a day pass there isn't all that much, we all felt it was a bit expensive to go look at the bird. So, we bypassed that. Instead, we returned to the beach and had a fun afternoon playing in the water and sand. In the evenings, we would sit outside and look at the stars. Coche was a fun time. On Monday, August 19, we returned to Prolamar. Lisa wasn't feeling well, so the rest of the week was very quiet. On August 23, Lisa and Brian flew home and we collapsed for two days. Having a six year old on board a boat is an exhausting proposition! We thoroughly enjoyed having both of them visit. The rest of the month we worked on various small projects. While we had done a pretty good job of keeping up with our chores, some stuff had fallen behind.
